Ocean's Trials pt 3 by ~GemmatheCat:iconGemmatheCat:

Sai reappeared in his domain, lit by many candles scattered around the room. Other than that, it was very dark. There was a steamy lake with a small boat.

There was a piano, and a shrine of a woman who looked much like Josie, almost twins. In some pictures, the woman was in the arms of a man, Sai.
An archway was to the right of the piano, covered by a veil.

Sai walked in, Josie still in his arms, her head lolling back.
He placed her feet on the ground, and made her stand. Sai placed his hand under Josie's chin and lift her head up.

"Mihiraku." Sai whispered.

Josie snapped her eyes open and looked around worriedly.
"What?? Where am I?! Where is my crew!?" she stammered.

"Please, calm yourself."

Josie looked at Sai with wild eyes, then quickly covered them.
"No! Not you again! I'm not falling for your tricks!!" she backed up and fell into the lake.

To her misfortune, this was the shallow part of the lake, and she hit her head.
She broke the surface of the water and held her head in pain. "OOOOOWWWW!!! STU-PID-LAAAKE!!"

Sai chuckled and grabbed her hand.
"Be more careful, please. So not to damage yourself." when he pulled her out, Josie was shivering from head to toe in wet clothes.

"Come, I will get you some new clothes." Sai held her hand and led her to the veiled room. The room had a large full moon shaped bed and a dresser the size of a refrigerator.
There was a desk and chair next to the bed, scattered with papers and empty inkwells.

“I will leave you to change, please choose any outfit you like.” with that, Sai left Josie in amazement.

Josie walked to the dresser and opened the middle drawer. All dresses. Next drawer, dresses.
After searching all of the drawers, all she found were different dresses.

The only things that weren't a dress were a misty rose low halter top and a long  vermillion broomstick skirt that had a long rip in the side.

Despite a little cleavage, it was the most comfortable, so Josie pulled those on and laid out her wet clothes to dry.

Josie let out a loud yawn and passed through the veil to the domain.
Sai was sitting at his piano, apparently writing something.
He turned and gave her a warm smile. "Ah, you look beautiful in that. Would you like some tea?"

Josie nodded reluctantly. She didn't like how he was being so nice, it was suspicious.
He walked her over a small gondola. Josie stood there, holding her arm.
"Well? Go on, get in." Sai held out his hand. "I'll help you, if you'd like."

Josie took his hand and placed a foot into the boat. She sat down in the front. The seats were velvet and soft.

Sai stood behind her and rowed them through a long tunnel with many other tunnels leading elsewhere.

the darkness and warm steam was comforting and made Josie drowsy. She shook her head. She couldn't fall asleep now, not with Sai right behind her.

Sai rowed through the third tunnel on the right, and they drifted into a comforting  little room.
It had dark mauve carpeting and four soft armchairs around a tea table. There was a gentle fire glittering in the corner of the room.
There was also an organ against the wall.

But the strangest thing was the person draped in a wooden chair next to the fire.
It was a pixielike woman who looked around 16 years old.
She was dressed in a short maid's dress and long stockings. Her shoes looked worn out from running around many times.

Her hair was short and jaded out at the ends, like a flower in full bloom.
It was a slightly dark shade of electric blue. She seemed to be in a very deep, peaceful sleep.

Sai sat down, still staring at Josie. "Dorei." he said.
The girl in the chair snapped her eyes open and dashed quickly over to Sai's side, a duster appearing out of nowhere in her hand.

"Yes, master." she said trancelike.
"Please fetch us some fresh tea."
"Yes, master." with that, she scurried off.

Josie was in distress. Something wasn't right about the way she snapped out of a deep looking sleep in a matter of seconds.

"Please, sit."

Josie looked up and saw Sai motioning to the armchair next to him.
She involuntarily sat down in the chair. "So, what is your name?"

"Josie." she felt her lips move, but she didn't mean to blurt out her name.

"Ah... charming name... so, do you enjoy being a pirate?" he asked in a friendly tone.

Dorei returned with tea.

Seeing as how gullible Josie was, she felt like she could have friendly conversation with him, as long as she didn't make him angry.

"Yes, I've always loved the sea. And I get to go on exciting adventures with my nakama."

"Sounds interesting, tell me about your adventures."

And with that, Josie started giving Sai information that he shouldn't know.
She even told him of that night when she and Zoro nearly confessed their feelings to each other.

"Exhilarating! And I suppose you don't get much vacationing time, do you?" Sai pressed on, trying to hide his new spite for the swordsman.

"Oh, no. And what's worse is that I haven't gotten any sleep in weeks." she confessed, making a mistake.

Sai smirked to himself. "Oh my, that must be tiring. Are you tired now?" he asked, keeping a friendly tone.

Josie replied with a very long yawn and blinking slowly three times.

"Hmmm... say, would you like me to play the organ?"

Josie looked surprised at him. "You play?"

"Yes, i'm rather good, actually."

"Sure, why not?"

Sai approched the organ and played a soft, soothing, almost hypnotic tune.
He started to sing;
"Nighttime sharpens, heightens each sensation
Darkness wakes and stirs imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defenses
Helpless to resist the notes i write
For i compose, the music of the night"

Josie's eyes suddenly gre heavy, and she struggled to stay awake to listen to the music.

"Slowly, gently, Night unfurls its Splendor
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender
Hearing is believing, music is decieving
Hard as lightning, soft as candlelight
Dare you trust the music of the night"

Her eyes hovered, her head drooped.

"Close your eyes -
For your eyes will only tell the truth
And the truth isnt what you want to see
In the dark, is it easy to pretend
That the truth is it ought to be"

Josie let her eyes close and slumped against the chair, still awake but barely, listening to the haunting tune.

"Softly, deftly, Music shall caress you
Hear it, feel it, secretly possess you
Open up your mind, Let your fantasies unwind
In this Darkness which you know you cannot fight,
The Darkness of the Music of the Night!"

Josie felt a smile adorn her face, so sleepy.

"Close your eyes -
Start a journey through a strange new World! leave all thoughts of the world you Knew before, close you eyes and let music Set you free, only then can you belong to Me."

Josie let all of her thoughts and worries float away, and she felt even sleepier without anything to think about.

Sai stopped playing and walked over to Josie, he pulled her heavy body up and wrapped his arms around her curvy body.

"Floating, falling, Sweet Intoxication
Touch me, trust me, savor each Sensation
Let the dream begin, Let your darker side give in
To the Power of the music that I write,
The Power of the Music of the Night!"

Josie felt like she was drifting on a cloud, and she knew she could trust Sai completely. She let her limbs hang, and felt Sai place her hand on his cheek.

She rest her heavy head on his chest. A sigh escaped her lips.

"Chokushi..." Sai whispered.

Josie opened her eyes and was overwhelemed by the swirling colors and she wanted to sleep even more.

"When I say 'Shunmin', you will fall into a very deep and peacful sleep... but when you wake up, you will be desparately in love with me... you will not remember any previous romantic events, you only love me...shunmin!"

Josie completely relaxed and finally fell asleep.

Once you start shaving your legs, you never stop.
Yes he does... he's my favorite. And his face in the movie isn't that bad, the only thing that confuses me is that at the end of ';Point of no return' when Christine takes his mask off, his hair suddenly turns blonde!
